Where on the Bristol Motor Speedway do the cars go the fastest and why?
Yea...I'm not really into nascar I just have to do this for my earth science homework even thought I don't get what this has to do with anything. =/
I need a definitive reason why they speed up at the turns.

As on most oval/tri-oval race tracks, the fastest point is entering the turns. The cars will accelerate coming off the turns and continue to do so until they reach the turn where they may slow up (a little). On some of the larger tracks (especially the ones that use restrictor plates) the cars may not slow up at all.

I live about 3 miles from the speedway, don't know where they go the fastest but i do know after the race we always see a bunch of people that have had car wrecks from going too fast. Honestly whats the deal? It's a bunch of cars going around in a circle!
