I'm wondering if my 13 year old brother has anger issues.. or issues of some sort. He turned 13 in Sept. He is ALWAYS mocking me and my parents. He does this by repeating everything we say in a high voice. He does not listen, and my parents don't discipline him. They say 'ignore it.' Sometimes my Mom just walks away when he is doing this. He also gets angry. More angry than anyone else I know. He can blow up because someone didn't make him the right sandwhich for lunch, or we called him to come to the table to many times. My whole family *myself included* has learned to walk on egg shells around him. Quite frankly, I'm tired of letting my 13 year old brother rule the house, getting yelled at for no reason, and feeling like I have to be perfect because he is so rotton.
He can be wonderful... when he wants to. Which is VERY rarely. Basically his problem is mocking, *ALL the time* not listening, ignoring warnings, and getting angry.
My parents won't take him to a counselor, or a dr. of any sort. I'm worried how he will grow up. Any opinions?? I appreciate any answers. It's time my parents heard this.
Is this something he could grow out of? =]
