I got a bruise under my toenail a couple of weeks ago. Today I noticed it looks like it's peeling away from the nail bed. From what I've heard, if it falls off it can take up to a year to grow back.
If it falls off completely, will it hurt to put pressure on it when I walk? I have my D of E Gold expedition (5 days of hiking, about 90km, for those who haven't heard of it) in two months. Will it have healed enough by then? Never had a nail fall off before so I'm not sure.
