Hey, I've recently just changed to BT internet, and have noticed I'm getting a download speed of 6mb according to speedtest.net. But when I download via utorrent I only get a poor 50kbs, I've read that BT don't throttle http traffic/downloads but they have throttled bittorrent communications. I've been reading around but can't find any simple solutions. Is there any way I can do this? Maybe using a VPN? SSH tunnel? the built in utorrent encryption does nothing. Or maybe trick the connection into thinking my bittorrent connection is actually http? Because this is just ridiculous. And before anyone says anything, all my ports are configured correctly. Thanks for any replies!
Sometimes when I click randomise port though it changes speed from about 20kbs up to about 100kbs (even 400 sometimes) for about 10 seconds then goes back down? Is this a hint to anything?
