2000 WH Holden Caprice (5.7L Gen III V8) vs. 1998 Subaru Liberty/Legacy RX AWD (2.5L flat-4).
What I am mainly looking for is a comfortable long-distance cruiser but with the most potential for a nice custom ride. When I get either of these I'm going to completely replace the stock sound system for an aftermarket one and most likely lower it and change the wheels.
As much as I love Subaru and their AWD system and Boxer burble, there is a massive appeal to me in the Caprice's V8 and 10-speaker sound system as standard. The problem I have with the Caprice on the other hand is the fact that Holdens are generally universally hated by 90% of the people I know, and they only came in a 4-speed slushmatic whereas the Subaru can have a 5-speed manual.
Once again, comfort and aftermarket support are the main criteria I'm looking at so any opinions on these will be great.
My budget is under AU$10,000.
