ive got a 454 (from a 69 chevelle if i haven't already gotten things mixed up, says casting #). its bored over 30 and has a 4 bolt main with a 2 piece rear main. im going to pickup a nice 4.250 crankshaft and get this thing up to a 496. now my question is, with 6.385 rods, what sort of flat top piston should i run to get to 10.5 compression? cc? short or long?
