anyone help please? My employer is 'unfortunately' still on Dial-up! She uses Outlook Express as her default email and is on Tiscali. She's recently purchased Bullguard security for her pc specifically to stop spam as she gets huge quantities of spam emails every day. She has contacted the support team twice who have sent instructions and still, after following advise, the spam is going into her Inbox when she puts the computer on. It is fine while she's on the internet and nothing changes but after switching off and then on again, it seems to revert back so that spam is getting through to the Inbox again.
I've checked that she's done everything right but there must be something in the computer's settings that is not saving, so when she switches the computer on again the next day, there is spam in the Inbox. She has so far saved 210 spam emails in the spam folder, so that the spam filter can detect these when they come through again, however, but it doesn't seem to be doing. I can understand her frustration with all these sometimes very naughty emails!
The instructions from the Bullguard support team are:
Open Bullguard, go to spamfilter module > Overview tab. Click on 'Reset spamfilter to default option. Select email client and click on settings. In new screen enable options 'add emails to block to your blacklist' and 'add emails you unblock to your whitelist. Click OK and open email client. Click Wizard button from Bullguard toolbar inside email client and go through all steps.
She has done all that several times and now feels this security programme was a waste of money.
Can anyone help who has used Bullguard, please?
Thanks.
