I've decided it's time to sell my faithful K2 gsxr 600 and get my first liter bike. I've got two years with the 600 so I think I'm ready for it. But I'm thinking about getting an 08 cbr1000rr... I've heard that it's one of the best bikes out their, and that it blows away all the other liter bikes. I've always thought that I would be a gixxer guy for life, but that new CBR looks nice, and is supposed to have a great ABS system. But I also like the K8 GSXR1000... does anyone have any suggestions? anyone have a new 08 cbr1000rr? This is going to be my bike for the next 4 or 5 years. And it is a major purchase for me. Any insight would be welcomed.

I also don't plan to do any stunting with it. I'm looking mostly for for ample power throughout the entire RPM range, that's why I'm not looking into the 08 R1... have to get up there in the power band for it to really go.
