Buzzing/ signal distortion from car audio setup?

I have recently installed a JVC AVX840 stereo in my car with an Alpine MRP F300 Amplifier and a pair of Alpine SPR-17S component speakers.

Tech Info:

JVC = 3 x 4v pre outs
AMP = 150W RMS x 2 in Bridged Mode @ 4 Ohms
Speakers = 330W each

The whole setup is now working fine however when I turn the system on without anything playing, I can hear a clear buzzing/ distortion noise coming from the speakers.

I've followed all the basic rules of setting up an amp and wiring locations and I have also properly grounded the amp to a clear metal spot in the boot. All the connections are solid and properly sealed with heat shrink tubing as well.

One thing I am not sure of is how to properly tune an amp.

At the moment I have the gains turned up about 2 thirds of the way but still need to play around with it.

Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking of taking it down to an audio specialist but I'm not sure of charges and procedures. If I can have a go at sorting it myself first that would be great.

Thanks!

Make sure when running your wiring from the head unit, to run the RCA's and the power wires on the opposite sides of the car. Even though it is only a "myth" it sometimes distorts the sounds.

look for these problems cheap RCA cables,bad ground for the amplifier itself and play with the rca cable were it plugs into the amplifier and see if it changes the noise at all.and turn the gains down some.if your only running speakers the amplifier could be to strong for the speakers.to tune it by ear just turn all the gains and the eq buttons down and go up a little at a time until you get a nice clean sound. and with 4 volt pre outs you must have a good RCA cables that's a strong signal.
