I have a 2005 Cadillac cts, their is a 10" stock subwoofer in, but I want more bass. I wanted to put another sub in the trunk, but I want to avoid that trunk rattleing.
Now the question. The stock sub is in the back of the cabin behind the backseat facing upwards. you can see the bottom of it in the top of the trunk. I was wondering if its possible to remove the stock sub, an cut around the hole it was in to make a bigger spot for a bigger sub an hook it up their. So the sound would come in the cabin an eliminate the trunk noise or at least reduce it an get more noise in the cabin.
Somebody commented before that the stock amp wouldnt push the aftermarket sub, but I dont mean I want to run the new sub to the pre-amp. Im going to get a new amp an everything for the new sub, I just want to know if the hole where the stock sub is now can be cut an replaced with a bigger sub an hook it up their instead of a box in the trunk.
