Cadillac Deville won't go out of park?

Ok so. Was driving it. It was workin just fine. Shut it off went in house. came back out and started it. Engine runs just fine but it wont go out of park? It makes this crunching noise and the spedomiter will go up but it obviously is not going anywhere. And when I put it back into park from shifting it makes this LOUD noise like grinding noise. Is my car completely fucked? lol
sorry for the launguage lol. Its a 1990 cadillac deville 4d. Has a 4.5l small block v8 in it. Never had problems with the tranny before. I checked the fluid and it was really low so I added some but it made no difference

You do not say what year you have, but sounds as if you have a severe problem in the drive train, probably the transmission or transaxle if it is a later model. Anyway, get a pro to check it out, time to call a tow truck, this is not something you can repair at home usually.
