cage TRAP question(cotton tails) ...10 points BEST........... HUNTING?

ok i have a havahart trap but here's the thing I wanna trap a cotton tail in my back yard wich is kinda deserty (cause i live on the egde of town) but the havahart trap is like a tunnel (ok heres how it works the rabbit walks in and is on the metal of the trap then the sides are metal not a cage. then at the end theres a cage about 1/4 size of the trap) so will he/she go into a hole lookin thing remember cotton tails
 
yes and use apples like said above I made a couple of box traps and my son and I have been trapping rabbits with them for a couple of years and apples and peanut butter work good. Do you plan on letting it go or eat it? I guess they taste pretty good in stew but I never tried it I gave all the rabbits that I caught to my father-inlaw.
When you put out the trap take a apple slice and cut it into 1/2 inch pieces and put it out side the cage and you can put the trap pretty close to the trail they will probably be in there the next morning since there is snow cover there isn't allot of good food for them so they will love an apple.If you are going to kill them just grab them by the head and front shoulders and twist it'll kill them quick
