Calculus Anyone?

i dont like finding volume of graphs and revolutions and solids and what not.

Yup. Took two calcs in highschool, and now four more in college. Two additional classes wern't completely calculus, but used calculus. If fact, almost all of my classes use calculus in some form now.

i got a C first semester, second semester i have turned in no homework, i got a 37 percent on first test and we have naother test this tuesday, i hate Trig functions.

Took it in highschool. Now that I'm finishing my B.S. in physics and have had to take calc1-3,D.E.'s and math methods. All I have to say is that math methods in the physical sciences is the hardest math class ever created. Worst combination of all things math ever. It is like 5 math classes mixed together and done at a blistering pace. However, I did get a B+ where in Calc's all I ever got was B-'s

im taking geometry. Although i've already taken that course and i've completed AlebgraII/trig already...

it's sooo funnnn re-learning something because your schools credit-system is retarded! :dodgy:

I learned that shit all throughout the year, and we are starting on some basic trig now, sine cosine and tangent and whatnot. Kinda confusing right now, because we just started and I've never done this before.

EDIT: Oh yeah, calculus. I plan on taking it junior or senior year. Probably going to take Pre-Cal or Trig next year, which would be my junior year for math, since I get to do math from a grade above me.

Yeah I am in tech math 2, I bet none of you guys has taken a course as hard as that and I am only in highschool.

I took AP Calc my senior year in High School. It wasn't bad, just harder problems and a faster pace than regular Calculus.

It's a joke, well I really am in tech math but that is the easy math route for people going to a community college.

im guessing your a mechanical engineer?
Thermo and Fluids were my least favorite. if you take a finite element class it ends up being the most work.

yes. math is were real intellect shines through. Math is finite, definitive. your right, or your wrong. You do not interpret math (that is until you get to higher level physics stuff which is all theory)

university calc 1 covered less than my high school calc.

I'll be in precalc next year as a sophomore, so i could end up taking calc cd if i wanted to, but I'm probably just going to do stats my junior year then fucking math for senior.

Yeah. I'm sure you can take Calc your sophmore year before you have ever taken PreCalc.

That makes perfect sense.

i took ap calc last year as a junior, i didnt seem to mind it but thats probably because i had a good teacher. this year i took calc 2 at the local community college and i thought it was pretty much the exact same as the second half of ap calc but just a little more in depth.. but i love math and calculus was the first time i could see where math comes in handy in the real world. but even though i like math im glad i dont have to take any more when i get to college next year

Oh wait, I get it. This is one of those 'Let's brag about how smart we think we are' threads right? Listen Kiddie Boy Jr, just cuz you can perform a simple derivative and maybe some integrals doesnt really give you the permission to look down on anyone in offtopic...

EDIT: But I can totally look down on you...Which is fantastic by the way.
