HUmans are a very viually oriented creature.
What you cant see becomes several times harder to know, and what you dont know can hurt you.
\What can hurt you will scare you.
What scares you becomes "evil"
And the predators of the night are doubly scary becasue they are faster and more silent thana human , whihc is why wolves are gone from Europe. i belive.. im not sure if they are gone from Europpe, and why they are being proteced in the states.
Also things taht feed on death, ravens and vuiltures and wolves and coyotes...., are scary becaUse they are closly associated with death and most peoplare afriad of death.
So by saying you are aligning yurs elf with these forces makes me think you are doing it for shock value and attention.
myself cknowledge a certain kinship with thpose forces but I dont feel anyneed to procliam any kind of "intiation" iinto ttheir power or whatever. your beliefs are your beliefs, but dont espect peopl to be warma nd fuzzy towards a self proclaimed " chaos mage" and an "initiate into the powers of the Dark"

I'm Wiccan here. Whoever said they hate it when the term is misused, I agree- it really pisses me off when people think my religion is about devil worshipping and/or drug use, etc. Sometimes I don't feel like explaining it to them, it's much easier ti beat the out of them. (note: I don't fight ignorance, I decide whether it's worth my time to replace ignorance with knowledge, or if it's not and to walk away thinking to myself 'I dare you to shoot another insult my way'.)
Okay, just read the post above mine (I've been skimming the forum for hours, after awhile you tend to get less and less interested and skip over posts... or just read the first and last few). Using the powers of the Dark is dangerous, because the Dark is in it for it's own gain, and would gladly take you out of the picture when it's done using you. And I do mean using you. Using the powers of Earth and the elements (note: metal is NOT an element, it is part of the element Earth, thought you should know if you're still working with the Chinese elements) is perfectly safe most of the time, if practiced with due respect. I wouldn't recommend aligning yourself with dark 'forces', whatever they may be. That's assuming I'm still able to comprehend what I'm reading... I need coffee... but even if what I'm saying has nothing to do with this thread, I still mean it. There's my two cents worth...
