Can a copper figurine hurt my fish in a fresh water tank?

No it is not safe, Copper is a poison.


It is used to treat Ich and a few other illnesses, but high levels of it are VERY toxic to fish. Some fish you cannot even treat with copper and must use alternative medicines.

My hubby has a copper figurine of a scorpian and was wondering if it was safe.

Yes it can hurt your fish most likely kill them.
Take it out immediately.
No metal is safe for fish.
