Can a Nokia N73 be successfully unlocked?

I have been given an ex-contract nokia n73, i would really like to get it up and running with my pay as you go sim card. How can i go about doing this?

If you know the original owner, they can request a subsidy unlock code from the old carrier by calling their 800#. It takes a few business days but they can do it. They teach the reps to get very nosy about why, though. I used to be a call center rep at AT&T.
