Thinkin' of buying a Cinquecento shell off a mate, has everything still intact except the original engine was removed and sold on. Brakes, suspension exhaust system etc have been upgraded as it was his pride and joy for a while but now needs to sell it on. The reason was thinking of putting a redtop in it was that I can get my hands on one pretty easily and wanting to get a lot of power in it and make it into a wee track car for a bit of fun. Anyone know if a redtop would fit in or how much work would it involve? Or any other engines that would give similar results that might be a bit easier?

It would be a very tight fit, assuming it fitted at all. Would take a fair bit of fabrication to get it mounted. And also a lot of work getting it wired up - as you are wiring a Vauxhall engine to a Fiat.
I'd personally look at the 1.4 Turbo engine from the older Punto GT
