Can a Rottweiler beat a Pitbull in a fight?

My friend and I were arguing about this earlier. He says because the average Rott outweights the average APBT by about 40 pounds or so, but Pits were bred to fight and I just don't think Rotts have the same fighting tenacity that Pits do. I think a Pit would keep fighting when a Rott would give up after so long and therefore the Pit would win. What do you guys think?

I don't condone dog fighting, but let's not act like it doesn't happen either because unfortunately it does.
 
well i dont know but i do have a pit and so far she is a very sweet dog. i would never want to see a dog fight or anything like that. but just my guess i would think that a rot would because its bigger but lol i dont know.
 
If you don't condone dog fighting, why even aske the question?
Who cares who might win? On any given Sunday and football team could win...same with dogs.....
 
rott can grow twice the pitbull but pit is world chapions and i get advice from expert a rott can never beat a pitbull even rott tries to beat pit then rott will die because rott has very little amount of stamina because he bro of black lab rott can,t beat pit in any chances
