I bought NERO so I can upload my vids to YOUTUBE, etc. I compress into zip file but I still get the msg tht file is too large. Someone suggested a fire wire? anybody have and advice? tnks
if you upload to youtube, they are gonna accept it in movie formats like avi, mpeg, xvid,divx,mpeg2,mp4, etc. zip file is when you want to store it i dont think youtube can accept that.
also if you want to compress the files, you can use video converters and change the settings. Xilisoft video converter is good but you have to pay, others that are good are total video converter and you can also use video editing software to save it into a format you specify (like sony vegas).
1080p settings are high and they are high quality and high space. if you choose avi that is like the highest quality i think but it is uncompressed. You should choose to convert video files to windows media video (wmv) or xvid. these have really good compressions.
dont forget youtube has a 10 minute limit and under 1 gb limit for videos. also if you want to enjoy the new HD ffeature of youtube, then you gotta make your video 16:9 aspect ratio. I recommend making videos in the wmv format at 720p.
Depending on a number of things, you need to split the files. Try HJ Split or FFSJ. Google them. They work well. FFSJ is probably easier and better. You take a large file and split it into a series of smaller parts. You then upload each of the smaller parts individually, but the recipient has to use HJ or FFSJ to re-join them. It may not serve your purpose for youtube but it's fine for e-mailing large files.
