can any one tell me how to jump start my 2002 toyota prius?

I seem to have a dead battery in my car! when I try to start my car the dash lights go dim!

Dimming of the lights in your interior are a good indicator that you have one of three problems. A dead battery. A dead Alternator that is not charging the batteries or a bad wire that is shorting . First try getting a boost start. If the car starts with no problems after a boost then it is a good indicator that your battery is shot. If it starts, but the battery signal goes down, then it is an indicator of a bad alternator not charging the batteries. If it has trouble starting even with a boost, then it might be a wiring problem..iei exposed wire, corroded wire, bad connection). Anyways, try these suggestions out. In order to do the first one you need battery cables or someone that has batter cables and another vehicle. Hope this helps.
