Can anybody give me (Newbie) a Probiotics 101 please ?

Ok,yes I am going to look into it all for myself ofcourse...but I have a LARGE family and a hectic load LOL So,on that note until I get the time to 'do it all'...can anybody help out and just give me some BASICS on the subject....

Benefits/Purposes/Effects/Usage....whatever.....

In simple terms, there's a delicate balance of 'good' and 'bad' bacteria in your gut.
If you offset the good bacteria with:
-anti-biotics
-poor diet {depleted nutrition from processed foods, nutrient deficient soil, GMO foods},
then your body is prone to infection, including yeast.

Probiotic(good bacteria) supplements are found at your local health food store for an immediate effect, or cultured foods that contain probiotics are: buttermilk, kefir, miso(soybean paste for asian foods), sauerkraut, cottage cheese, and yogurt
