can anyone help me secure my internet connection?

i have just recently bought a belkin g wireless router ive installed the drivers and im now connected to the internet wireless the only problem is i don't seem to be able to secure my network so that only i can use it can anyone please help me i don't want anyone else using my wifi signal to download stuff
 
Read the manual, specifically the section about WPA or WEP encryption.
 
You will need to enable WEP, or WPA on the router. It will require you to enter a passcode. If you use WEP it will probably generate a long string of hex for you. If you use WPA you can choose some easy to remember.

Go to the belkin website http://www.belkin.com/support/ and find your router model and download the manual, it will explain how to go about doing this.
