can anyone help me work out this riddle?

I met a man with seven wives,
every wife had seven sacks,
every sack have seven cats,
every cat had seven kits,
kits, cats, sacks and wives,
how many where going to st ives?

I wanted to know if anyone knows the answer to this riddle?
