In the novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, Lennie makes a good decision by killing Curley’s wife. Curley’s wife was a scandalous woman, and Curley had no clue what she had been doing behind his back. Lennie had not killed Curley’s wife intentionally, but this did not matter. Curley did not like Lennie to begin with because of his size. Lennie was a larger man and Curley saw this as a threat.
When Lennie accidentally killed the puppy and Curley’s wife, he lost trust from all of the people on the ranch. Lennie was wanted dead, even by his own best friend, George. If Lennie were to have not killed Curley’s, Curley would not have realized she was unfaithful in the marriage. Also, Curley’s wife was living a lonesome and disconcerting lifestyle. Lennie put Curley’s wife out her misery.
