Can anyone think of an interesting topic for a scientific article?

I want to write an article for my school's science magazine but there isn't any specification for topics. I don't mind researching a subject I don't know much about. Could anyone suggest a topic that they would find interesting to read about, or a question they would like answered? I don't know where to start. Thanks.

It is a research paper.
Think of something you are curious about, and Google it, or visit your local library for references.
