I might of had some things in car that cops wouldn't "approve" of, if someone hits my car and it is in no way my fault (my car was totaled and towed), is there any chance they would search it?

It's not considered a search, it's an "inventory" of what's inside the vehicle prior to storing it. If contraband is in plain view, it is seized.
If contraband is found during the inventory, a search warrant will be issued. Yes, the cops can inventory you belongings...

not inless it (car) was being held for investigation for some crime .if you are talking about them searching it after its been towed...no very unlikely but you might want to keep in mind that there are alot of crooked tow yards out there! You should have recieved a slip listing all the visible belongings that were in the car when towed.

Yes, because they have to assess the damages to the vehicles and make sure there was not any illegal activity in either vehicle, such as alcohol that caused the accident. They would have a right to search your vehicle after the accident.
