Can dream catchers take away good dreams?

I haven't had a good dream in 7 years and whenever I stay round my cousins house or someone where a dream catcher isn't present in the house/building I seem to have good dreams. I half of me thinks that I am crazy, but the other half just thinks that its the dream catcher taking them away.
 
Dream catchers are usually just for bad dreams.
It might be the kind you have. Maybe try a different dream catcher for awhile and see if that helps.
