Can dreams tell you something about the future?

Because I had a dream that my older brother was dying.The dream was that we were in our mom's car and just sitting there in some parking lot and me and him and my mom were fighting I don't know what about,but then they stopped and started to get along at some point and he said that he knew was going to die within the next 5 months.Something about his kidneys (I have no idea where in my mind I came up with that lol.) In the dream he didn't seem worried at all he just said he was going to die within 5 months.In the dream I started crying and saying "no you can't die" and he just told me to suck it up.That's all I can remember.I know it sounds stupid but it actually does worry me.I'm not very close to him considering that im 13 and he's 23,but I still love him and I don't want him to die.I don't talk to him often,but when I do he's nice.So do you think dreams can predict the future?
 
Some dreams could tell you something important about the future but most times they don't. Most of the dreams people have don't make sense. It's just random things that are in our brain/memory that we piece together.
 
It is impossible to know the future. The future is unwritten.

Dreams can, however, often be helpful to examine your inner feelings. Maybe you are nervous about losing something important in your life. It might not even be your brother, but maybe something else important to you. Maybe somebody you knew or heard about had kidney problems and you're worried it could happen to somebody you know.

Dreams are the mind's way of making sense of the things we've seen, heard, and thought about during the waking hours. Again, they can't tell the future, but they are worth thinking about and discovering why they bother you.
