Can I activate a T-Mobile Sidekick with at&t?

Ok, I live in North Carolina and T-Mobile doesn't have any service in NC.
Could I buy a sidekick off of Ebay and activate it with At&t?

Oh, and if that did work, should I just buy the sidekick without a plan from T-Mobile or buy it off of Ebay?

you could try and put your sim card into it but you're really wasting your time & money.

a lot of times you wont be able to text or get online with the phone.. and whats the purpose of a sidekick w/o being able to text? dumb.

also, you cant buy the phone from tmobile because it will be locked to tmobile service. you would need to buy an unlocked phone from ebay or something.

overall, its a dumb decision.

You'd have to buy an unlocked phone. Either way you get it, TMobile can get that code for you. One thing though, internet access doesn't always work, and you can have some troubles with texting too, but at&t can help you get that set up propeerly after the fact. EBay would be cheaper.
