Can I antifoul a boat on a trailer?

I have just bought a new boat, but have relised I need to antifoul it as its going on a mooring. can I antifoul it while its on the trailer? Will I need to antifoul it right before it goes on water, or can I do it when I want?

yes but you may miss a little bit where the trailer supports the boat
 
Yes you can put anti fouling paint on a trailer while it's on a trailer, it.s just harder to do and messier. Some paint's require a 6 hr. wait between coats of paint, and a 16 hour wait to launch. Others should be launched soon after painting yet others can wait days before launch. Check the instructions on the paint co. web site. Good luck!
