This morning I got a marketing phone call from one of those bullshit "are you in debt" companies. I ran up stairs to pick it up to find it was a fucking robot asking me if I need credit.
Anyway I listened to the message for about 10 seconds and it says "Press 2 now if you need financial help." or something. So I pressed 2 and proceeded to explain my fictional debts to one of their advisers.
After a minute or two I interrupted him and told him "I'm just kidding, you wasted my time so I wanted to waste yours"... then he swears and me and tells me I've been billed X amount of money for talking to him per minute.
Is this true, was I really billed? I don't have a minimum wage call center job so fortunately I can afford to pay any amount they charge but if It costs money to answer my own phone to telemarketers I won't be doing it in the future.
I am registered with TPS. Tired of these fucking idiots wasting my time trying to sell me shit I do not want.
