Can I buy a phone from one company like Rogers, and then switch to another

company like bell?? Is it possible to buy a phone from Rogers or Fido or someplace and switch the Company to Bell, but still keep the same phone??

because Bell doesn't have that much good selections, and I really like the phones they have at rogers, but my dad wants me to stick with bell because r land line and internet are with bell...

so is it possible to buy a phone i like from rogers and then just switch the company to bell??
