Can i buy a satellite in space, which is orbited already in the orbit?

is this possible? there are thousands of satellite which are active in space from lots of countries, placing along the governmental and secret satellites, do I have chance to BUY a satellite which already working in the orbit? ( if compnay wants to sell it?, are there any standards and laws for this?
 
Sure you can, why not? It would be extremely expensive, and I don't think anyone would send up a sat they didn't need. You might be able to pick up a very old one, operating costs would be extremely expensive, you'd become liable for any damage it caused if you attempted to deorbit it. Also, it would most likely be at the end of its operational lifespan.
