Can I cancel my data package on my Samsung Rogue from Verizon?

I just got my Rogue last april and i got the $12 data plan on it and now i want to switch the phone to another number but a number that's on my contract but i want to cancel the data plan on it because the person never uses the internet. I know when I got the phone I had 2 get the plan but I want to know if I still need it because i dont want to pay for it anymore.
 
I have e same phone and I almost never use the internet on it. Verizon requires you to get the package with the rogue for some reason but they wouldn't let me get rid of my data package after I got that phone.
