...charged full price? I have had verizon for 4 years, was at the end of my contract so Just entered my 3rd contract in order to upgrade phone, I decided I couldn't afford service since I was required to pay an extra 9.99 for data plan. I requested to cancel this new contract since It was within my 30 days. They were willing to do this, but stated that since an operator called me in July and offered me a promo of 500 bonus minutes good for a year to avoid going over texting plan, which I had done a month or two in a row, that Had entered me into a 1 year contract. I stated that I was never made aware that this promo that they offered me " at no cost" as the operator stated had entered me into another contract. They also did not make me aware of this when I was upgrading and entered the new 2 yr. contract. I disputed this, which they stated that they had sent me confirmations, (that I never received, nor agreed to). So even though I was able to cancel the new 2 year contract, I was still locked into a 1 year due to the promo.I stated I was going to cancel the whole service due to their lack of customer service .My question is, Since I was able to cancel the new contract, but was still technically in a 1 year contract, Do I still need to send the upgraded phone back?or can I keep it since I am canceling the service all together, and will already be charged the 175.00 early termination fee? Verizon sucks ass.. I was always happy with their service after 4 years, but Am so upset, that I was tricked into another contract without my knowledge, thinking That they were helping me out, since I had been a customer so long. If I would have known this 500 bonus minutes they offered me would have locked into another contract, I would have just switched to a larger texting plan.....But they arent willing to hear my side of the story. I insisted that I was not made aware of the conditions of this promo, and requested them to review their "recorded phone calls for quality" as they say, To prove that this operator was in error. The current operator I was speaking to just disregarded my request and acted like I had never said anything about it. She just informed me that regardless of my complaints, I had entered the contract, and was now required to pay termination fee. What a crock. Can anyone help me with this question? Sorry, it was so long winded, I so Agrrevated with this whole situation.
