Can i change my automatic shift knob in my toyota corolla 2000?

I don't kno if I can change my shift knob on my automatic toyota corolla 2000. I see they sell shift knobs for the car but they are universal, so it probably is just saying it fits, if anybody knows how to take the shift knob off, please tell me how, or send a URL
