I live in California and im 17 so how would I go about changing my last name to my moms maiden name? How much would it cost and would it be easier to just wait till i turn 18??
If you're under 18, you have to get your mother's AND the court's permission. I'm unsure of how much it will cost, but it would be a lot easier to wait till you come of age. That way you can just get the court's permission to change your name to whatever you want it to be.
