...a new radio to cover both u? i have a gp340 and wud like to use it as a gp340 vhf and uhf radio it is now a uhf one wud like to use vhf at same time ? thanks ted
You'll need a new radio. One designed for UHF can't operate on VHF. The tuned circuits simply can't cover that great a difference. There are dual band radios available. They have both UHF and VHF sections in them. Kenwood and Yaesu offer them as well as some other manufacturers.
