Can I drink on a cruise ship?

ok some im 20 and im going on a cruise with all my cousins(one of them is 21), my grandparents(they bought the cruise), and my aunts & uncles, and my parents, now ive heard of a waiver where you only have to be 18? however i know my parents wont sign that(they are hardcore bible thumpers) i know my grandparents wouldnt have a problem with it(they drink and are VERY cool grandparents), i figured id be able to atleast drink beer on international waters(i dont plan on being drunk the whole time on the cruise but i would like to have a few) i cant remember which cruise line its sorry but it leaves from New Orleans and goes to Cozumel? if any one has any idea what crusie line that might be? i know i can drink once i get to Cozumel but we're gonna bizy with so much other stuff i doubt i'll be able to or even want to drink... do all cruise lines ID ppl? i look older than i actually am, i can easily grow out a full beard b4 we leave if that would help?? lol
side note: im in the millitary.... im old enough to die for my country but not old enough to drink a couple beers on international waters?? (currently reserves, in the process of going active duty, headin)
oh and can you smoke cigarettes on the cruise? im guessing they have designated areas? do cruise lines even sell cigarettes?

please no answers like: drinking is bad, or the cruise will be fun without drinking(I KNOW THAT! BUT IT WILL BE EVEN MORE FUN IF I AM ALLOWED TO DRINK LOL), SO NO BS ANSWERS PLEASE!
 
The waver you heard about is only on some European cruises and does not apply on your cruise. You will NOT be able to drink because everyone's ID is checked It will be your cruise card which tells everyone if your under 21 or over 21 years of age. But while in port, you can drink, no problem. Just be sure you make it back to the ship. BTW international waters has nothing to do with drinking laws and it doesn't matter which cruise line your on as they are all the same when it comes to drinking. You can smoke, but only in certain areas and you can buy cigarettes on the ship, no problem.
