Can I get a verizon phone to work on a European Carrier?

Hey I want to use the Motorola droid 2 in Ireland on the 02 network but because they dont use sims on verizon i was wondering if it would be possible to create a digital sim or something to connect to the network. I am really frustrated with this issue as I have found it with all the droid series phones and I really like their hardware
 
Not possible. CDMA phones can rarely be used outside the US as few countries use CDMA.
