Can I give my ferret mice as a treat?

Vet says that pinkie mice are a great ferret treat because it's REALLY healthy for them. I'm fine with feeding snakes mice because they kill them fairly quickly. I'm sooooo worried that our fuzzie is going to rip this poor mouse to shreds before eating it. I'm not trying to pull any "save the poor mouse" stint. I'm just trying to prep myself for giving my fuzzie a new treat. Any advice?? :o)
 
Frozen pinkies. Thaw them out in hot water. Do NOT use a microwave. (yeeecchh)

Feeding live mice to ferrets I think would be horribly cruel to the mouse.
