I recently unhooked one of my computers from all the ethernet cables and set it up for wireless. Now my wireless computer connection is hit or miss and sometimes slow. The connection speed says 54.0 mbps and signal strength is usually excellent, but yet my pages often load slow and sometimes timeout all together. Can I just buy another modem from ATT and hook it up to the wireless computer. My whole goal was to eliminate the ethernet cables draped across the hallway.Thank you in advance for advice. Oh, and also, the computers and modem (wireless 350att modem) are only maybe 20 feet away and through one door. Connection always says very good or excellent. My modem is a wireless, I dont have a separate router, I just want my old connection again without the wires across the hallway. Can I buy a new modem and still be charged the same 30 a month or are there any suggestions of how I can get better connection? Thanks again!!
