can i install a new subwoofer amp combo in my 1999 lexus es300 with stock

speakers and head unit? i'm looking to replace my subwoofer without changing my speaker setup so can i run a mono amp with a new subwoofer from the current head unit(leaving the speakers the same). it has a nakamichi system in it now

yes get a high to low level converter (about 10 to 25 bucks online), install it onto your existing rear speakers wires, run rca's from converter to amp run power wire from battery to amp, hook remote wire to something that is not powered when the car is off (normally cigarette outlet) and bam... its done. did this job several weeks ago to a buddys car.

yes you can use a sub with stock radio and stock speakers even though the stock speakers dont sound good and the sub will probly drownd them completely out
