My current insurance company allows me to add unlimited laptops, PDAs and mp3 players to my policy. I have an iPhone, which functions as all three of these things (or at least the second two). It also functions as a mobile phone, but cover for these is not specifically offered by my insurer (although it doesn't list them as not being covered).
Obviously PDA cover doesn't insure against phone calls made if stolen, or whatever, but I'm not bothered about that. I've checked all the terms and conditions on my policy and can't see anything wrong with insuring my iPhone against accidental damage and loss as a PDA or mp3 player.
Thoughts?
