Can I make a LG Xenon a pay as you go? (ROGERS)?

Hi, I have a rogers pay as you go phone, and I want to switch up. Its a pay as you go. I'm looking at the LG Xenon for high school, but I'm too young to get a plan, so can I put my SIM card in the Xenon and make it a pay as you go, if not what can I do to make it pay as you go?
What do you think?
