I'm only 16 years old and was courious if I could make my own martial art like the guy from bloodsport that made dux ryu. I know tae kwon do and drunken boxing basics (movements) I want to make a new martial art called drunken tae kwon do. It has all the kicks, punches etc from tae kwon do but turned drunken with the drunken boxing part of the martial art and also partially has drunken boxing moves also like punches etc. If I actually made this a real martial art would u do it? What would I have to do to make my own martial art and get it noticed around the world?

i would change the name also no i would not do it because both these martial arts suck and are useless but its a good idea.

Actually i do MMA so screw you di*k head

No. Not in a million years.

You have to actually make a martial art that's worth studying.

You can't just make a martial art. It just doesn't happen... you need something called decades of experience.

So, no and no.

don't listen to your first answer, the people who bluntly say this style sucks don't actually study martial arts, or if they do their skill lacks anything worth mentioning.

it is possible to make your own style, it happens all the time. you have a couple of options in my opinion. 1 open up a studio teach and expand your studio. you need to have a large student base. to get it nationally recognized you need it to be a large chain of studios. you can also win some tournaments with such sheer skill that nobody can look away, seminars also help get your style's name out. tv or movies like bruce lee. try and get history channel or something follow your story could even help.

i wouldn't go into it, i have my own combination of styles that I'm training with. but if it's effective then i could see other people going into it.
