Can I put a 1999 Porsche Boxster engine and transmission into any other car ?

I own a 1969 Chevy Chevelle, but I don't like the engine too much. Is it possible for me to just get a used Porsche engine and tiptronic transmission and install it ?
Also, if I was able to install it, how would I be working the tiptronic? The Chevelle has steering column shift so I dont know how I would be able to work the manual mode on the new transmission.
