Can I put a 454 Chevy in a Geo Metro?

It's kind of sluggish, so I want to replace the 1.0 liter 3cyl with a 7.4 liter V8. Will the factory transmission bolt up to the 454? I don't want this to be more than a day project because I'm a busy man.
Why are you making references to time travel? I'm trying to be realistic here.
