Can I put music in my Xbox 360 Hard Drive with a DVD-R?

I have been watching tutorials and google a lot but all of them says that I need a CD. I have tons of DVD-Rs. Will it work to my Xbox even with a blanl DVD?

And just a few more simple questions.
1. Do I just copy and paste the musics onto my DVD-R even though it has non-music files inside it(not burned)?
2. What types of music(mp4, mp3, etc) only works in Xbox 360?

It won't work. You can do it via USB stick but not cd.
 
Xbox won't let you rip dvds because they think you might pirate movies...so yeah you need CDs.
