I have my desktop computer wired to my HDTV as a monitor via an HDMI cable, but the only speaker setup is Stereo. I have a 5.1 Surround Sound System hooked up to my TV. Is there a way to have my desktop running 5.1 through my TV, which would run it through the speakers? Does my TV automatically convert the Stereo audio into 5.1 when it goes from TV to Surround Sound System?
